The Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) has held discussions with the Embassy of Maldives in Japan to seek its involvement and cooperation in engaging Japanese companies for initiatives aimed at adding value to MIFCO’s products and establishing a mariculture industry

The discussions were held during a visit by a MIFCO delegation to the Maldives Embassy in Tokyo as part of their ongoing official visit to the Japanese capital.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Ambassador and Chargé d’Affaires, Mr. Ahmed Adil, and Second Secretary, Ms. Hawwa Samha. During the meeting, the Embassy assured its full support and cooperation in facilitating MIFCO’s efforts to connect with Japanese companies and advance initiatives in value-added fisheries products and mariculture development.
