MIFCO Launches New Website to Strengthen Transparency and Public Engagement

The Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) has officially launched its new website, marking a significant step in enhancing communication and services for fishermen, partners, and the public.

The launch was held during a special ceremony accompanied by a Maahefun (traditional feast) to welcome the month of Ramadan. The website was inaugurated by MIFCO’s Chairman, Shimaz, and CEO, Brigadier General (Retd.) Farhath Shaheer, with the event attended by department heads and a large number of MIFCO staff.

The company’s IT Department played a leading role in bringing the new website to fruition. Chief Technology Officer Abdulla Mueen provided an overview of the website’s features during the launch.

Designed with modern features, the new website is accessible in both English and Dhivehi and provides fishermen with essential daily information. It also enables businesses to establish connections for purchasing MIFCO products and allows job seekers to submit applications directly online.

The website will further strengthen MIFCO’s engagement with the media and the public. Key information about the company’s operations will be published on the site, including a dedicated page to facilitate requests under the Right to Information Act.

In line with MIFCO’s commitment to transparency and integrity, the website will also host financial reports, executives’ financial statements, and other disclosures required under corporate governance standards.

Through this platform, MIFCO aims to enhance service delivery, foster stronger relationships with stakeholders, and provide a reliable source of information about the company’s operations and initiatives.
